A gold ring with round-section hoop supporting discoid bezel featuring intaglio busts of two robed individuals facing each other. 3.80 grams, 22.88mm overall, 19.60mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q, USA 8, Europe 17.49, Japan 16) (3/4"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly in the private collection of an English lady previously living in Oxford; acquired on the UK art market from the mid 1980s; accompanied an independent specialist report and valuation by graduate gemmologist and jewellery expert Anna Rogers, GIA GG, BA, Gem-A, ref. no.164820/7/10/2020.
