A fine and rare Anatolian silver-gilt ring bearing the name of Jalal al-din ibn Muhammad, Eastern Turkey, dated 832 (A.D.1428)
the circular bezel with cursive calligraphic bands arranged concentrically around a central cruciform motif, the underside with a further inscription, the edge of the bezel with a narrow chain band with shaped cartouches below enclosing flowers and split-palmette arabesques, the hoop of triangular section with stylised dragonhead terminals with scaly bodies and knot motif at the base

In the border cartouches, possibly:
be-hurmat-e seh muhammad be-haqq-e char ‘ali / be-do hasan o be-husayn be-musa o ja’far / …..tajat bovad khojasteh zivar /kazu dahad be-ma shadi o ‘azm-e fath o zafar /
‘By the honour of the three Muhammads, by the truth of the four ‘Alis and the two Hasans and by Husayn, by Musa and Ja’far. May your crown be adorned with auspiciousness, from which we will be given Joy and resolution and victory and triumph’
In the inner cartouches, possibly:
hamisheh do giti be-kam-e to bad / hameh nik nami be-taj-e to bad / al-wathiq bi’l-malik al-sa’ada / taj-e Jalal al-din ibn muhammaad deh /
‘May the two worlds always comply with your wishes

Give the crown to Jalal al-Din ibn Muhammad’ [probably Jalal al-din 'Ali, Aqqoyunlu pretender in Diyarbakir (r. A.H.839-842 / A.D.1435-38)]

‘aqebat kheyr bad
